Professional Experience
Steve joined The de Burlo Group in 2017, focusing on the fixed income markets. In addition to managing the bond portfolios, he leads the research, trading, and analysis of all fixed income securities. Steve’s activities also include running daily equity portfolio reports and serving as the backup equities trader.
During Steve’s 30+ years of experience he has created and managed bond portfolios in both rising and falling interest rate environments, primarily for institutional clients. Prior firms Steve worked at include State Street Research and Income Research. He also has significant investment consultant and client relationship responsibilities. Throughout his career, Steve has traded more than $35 billion of fixed income securities.
Education
Steve earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree from Princeton University, a Master of Science in Real Estate degree from M.I.T., and a Master of Science in Finance degree from Boston College, in addition to the CFA designation.
Community Involvement
Steve serves on the Investment Committee of Xaverian Brothers High School in Westwood, MA where he is a Trustee Emeritus. He chairs the Finance Committee of the Mission Church parish in Roxbury, MA. He is a past president of the Fixed Income Management Society of Boston, a former member of the Princeton Alumni Schools Committee, an active member of the Princeton Football Association, and former CCD teacher at Our Lady Help of Christians Church in Newton, MA. Steve is a member of the CFA Society Boston and the CFA Institute.
